Redeemed Plumbing Awarded Top Odessa Plumber WQA Member Spotlight

Hello, Odessa! It’s Tony Surles here from Redeemed Water & Plumbing. I am incredibly humbled and excited to share some great news with all of you. This month, the Texas Water Quality Association (TWQA) featured me in their Member Spotlight for March 2026! It is a true honor to be recognized on a national level, but what matters most to me is what this means for our community right here in West Texas.

For the past 15 years, I have poured my heart into the water industry. Building Redeemed Water & Plumbing from the ground up has been an amazing journey, and I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me as your local plumber.

The Invisible Impact of Water in Our Lives

When the WQA asked me what fascinates me most about this industry, my answer was simple: water’s impact is almost entirely invisible—until something goes wrong. From the plumbing systems working silently behind your walls to the way clean water improves your overall quality of life, water is the lifeblood of our homes and businesses.

Living and working in Odessa, I see firsthand the unique challenges we face. We live in a town defined by immense pride, the grit of the Permian Basin oil industry, and the unmatched energy of Friday Night Lights over at Ratliff Stadium. We have incredible local character, from the Permian Basin Stonehenge to the Chris Kyle Memorial. But beneath all that vibrant West Texas culture lies a tough reality: our extreme water hardness. The local water chemistry, scale, and pressure place a tremendous daily strain on our pipes, water heaters, and appliances.

Education as Preventative Protection

That brings me to the biggest challenge I face in my work: education. Helping my neighbors understand the long-term effects of untreated, hard water is both my greatest challenge and my most important responsibility. I always tell my customers that when done right, water treatment is more than just a product you buy—it is preventative protection for your biggest investment.

I don’t believe in aggressive sales pitches. My goal is to ensure you understand exactly what is happening with your water system so we can find a sustainable solution together. I want to save you from the headache of unexpected breakdowns and costly repairs down the road.

Building a Legacy of Integrity

My guiding principle in business and in life is simple: “Do it right the first time.” This lesson has shaped every aspect of Redeemed Water & Plumbing. I got my start locally with Rainbow Plumbing, and as I watched them close their doors after nearly 40 years of service, it reminded me of the profound responsibility I have to step up and serve this community with integrity. I am focused on delivering quality craftsmanship and building a reputation one job, and one family, at a time.

Recharging Beyond the Wrench

Of course, even a plumber needs some downtime! When I am not out in the field fixing leaks or installing water softeners, you can usually find me unwinding with PC gaming. I am a big fan of medieval and high-fantasy RPGs. It is my favorite way to recharge after a demanding day in the West Texas heat, allowing me to come back the next morning completely focused for my customers and my family.

The WQA also asked me who my dream conversation would be with. I told them I would love to sit down with King Solomon to talk about wisdom, leadership, and making sound decisions. Those are the principles I strive to bring to Redeemed Water & Plumbing every single day.

Thank you, Odessa, for allowing me into your homes and trusting me with your water needs. This WQA Spotlight belongs just as much to this amazing community as it does to me. If you ever need anything, you know who to call!
